Our Programs

Rainbow Express Ministries offers a variety of programming opportunities on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Some of these offerings are age group or program member-specific and others are open to the public.

SUMMER CAMPS

Rainbow Express Camp is a weeklong day camp offered each summer at Matthews United Methodist Church to serve children and youth with special needs, as they "team up" with youth and other children. In addition, we have a young adult evening camp for campers 19 and up, focusing on young adult activities. These camps are designed, organized, and led in partnership with Matthews United Methodist Youth Ministry.

HAITI PARTNERSHIP

Over the past twelve years Rainbow Express Ministries has established a partnership with the Wings of Hope family in Jacmel, Haiti. Each year we have worked alongside the staff of Wings of Hope in offering Rainbow Express day camp. 

YOUNG ADULT GROUP

Rainbow Express Ministries offers opportunities for young adults with disabilities to belong to a community where they can build friendships and explore, develop and share their gifts and abilities. This includes daily gatherings four times a week, serving others, retreats, Bible study, and fellowship. 

Respite Care

In order to provide rest for our families and build independent living skills, Rainbow Express Ministries hosts quarterly long weekends of respite care for young adults involved in our weekly group. We are also working to develop a plan on future residential opportunities.
